"Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" (Ya nadie nos detendrá) es una canción disco de 1979 interpretada por el dúo estadounidense de R&B, McFadden & Whitehead, de su álbum debut "McFadden & Whitehead". Escribieron y produjeron la canción junto con el tecladista Jerry Cohen.
"Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" habla de triunfar a pesar de haber enfrentado desventajas previas ("so many things that held us down" / "tantas cosas que nos detuvieron o frenaron"). Se interpretó ampliamente como una historia sobre la experiencia de la comunidad afroamericana y, después de alcanzar popularidad, se la conoció como "el nuevo himno nacional negro" (el original era la canción de 1900 "Lift Every Voice and Sing").
Kelefa Sanneh señaló que la canción era "un número exuberante que a menudo se interpreta como una expresión de orgullo negro", pero también que los autores de la canción estaban en una disputa por regalías con su sello discográfico Philadelphia International.

A pesar de ser vista como un comentario social, en una entrevista realizada por el productor de videos de Filadelfia Bob Lott, Whitehead y McFadden revelaron que la canción en realidad trataba sobre su frustración con los dueños de Philadelphia International, Kenny Gamble y Leon Huff, quienes durante muchos años prefirieron que permanecieran como compositores de la casa y no como intérpretes. Gamble ha confirmado que al escuchar por primera vez "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now", intentó sin éxito convencer a McFadden y Whitehead para que le dieran la canción a los O'Jays, ya que sentía que era mejor escribir y producir para los artistas de grabación más destacados de la época que tratar de competir con ellos como intérpretes en el escenario.
Esta canción presenta un coro femenino en el estribillo repetido. Se escuchan pitidos electrónicos de retroalimentación hacia el final de la versión más larga de la canción.
Rendimiento en las listas
La canción, lanzada como el sencillo principal del álbum, pasó una semana en el número uno de la lista de sencillos de R&B.
También resultó ser un éxito crossover (éxito cruzado), alcanzando el puesto número 13 en el Billboard Hot 100.
El sencillo también llegó al número 10 en las listas de música disco, y alcanzó el número 5 en el Reino Unido.
Finalmente se convirtió en doble platino por vender 2 millones de copias.
