ERUPTION: "I CAN'T STAND THE RAIN" - 1978.

Eruption fue formada en Londres en 1974 por la vocalista Precious Wilson, el guitarrista Greg Perrineau, el bajista Morgan Perrineau, el teclista Gerry Williams, y el baterista Eric Kingsley.

Wilson nació en Jamaica y se mudó con su familia a Gran Bretaña a la edad de siete años. Los otros miembros de la banda vinieron de diferentes partes del Caribe y África.

"No soporto la lluvia"es una canción originalmente grabada por Ann Peebles en 1973, y escrita por Peebles, Don Bryant, y Bernard "Bernie" Miller.

En 1978 Eruption lanzó una versión disco, que alcanzó el puesto nº 6 en la Disco Chart y se convirtió en el mayor éxito del grupo (Nº 18 en el Billboard Hot 100).
