MAZE FT. FRANKIE BEVERLY: "JOY AND PAIN" - 1980

Maze, también conocida como Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly o Frankie Beverly & Maze, es una banda de soul estadounidense fundada por Frankie Beverly en Filadelfia en 1970. Bajo su nombre original Raw Soul, la banda se mudó a San Francisco y fue presentada a Marvin Gaye. Gaye llevó al grupo de gira con él como uno de sus grupos de apertura, y en 1976 sugirió que cambiaran su nombre de Raw Soul.

Maze lanzó 9 álbumes de oro entre 1977 y 1993. Sus conocidas canciones incluyen "Happy Feelin's", "While I'm Alone", "Golden Time of Day", "Southern Girl", "The Look in Your Eyes", "Joy and Pain", "Before I Let Go". ", "We Are One", "Back in Stride", "Can't Get Over You" y "The Morning After".

"Joy and Pain" (alegría y dolor) es una canción escrita por Frankie Beverly que da nombre al cuarto álbum del grupo de R&B, Maze, con sede en Bay Area, San Francisco, lanzado el 18 de julio de 1980 por Capitol Records.

El álbum presenta los éxitos de R&B "Southern Girl" y "The Look In Your Eyes". Junto con la canción principal homónima, estos temas siguen siendo básicos en las estaciones de radio urbanas.
