10cc es un grupo de estilo pop rock y soft rock británico, originario de Stockport, Greater Manchester, Inglaterra, que tuvo gran éxito especialmente en la década de 1970.
Inicialmente la banda constaba de cuatro integrantes: Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley y Lol Creme, quienes habían compuesto y grabado juntos durante tres años, antes de asumir el nombre 10cc en 1972.
La formación original duró cuatro años, alcanzando el éxito mundial en 1975 con la balada "I'm not in love".
En 1976, Godley y Creme se fueron para formar Godley & Creme, mientras que Stewart y Gouldman continuaron como 10cc.
El primer álbum del nuevo 10cc, "Deceptive Bends" de 1977 mantuvo el atractivo pop del grupo, pero después del éxito de 1978 con "Dreadlock Holiday" del álbum "Bloody Tourists" y la crisis de Stewart tras un accidente automovilístico, la banda nunca volvió al pop principal.
Se separaron en 1995.

Publicada en mayo de 1975, "I'm not in love" se convirtió en el éxito número dos del grupo, manteniéndose en el primer lugar durante dos semanas el 28 de junio de 1975 en el Reino Unido.
En Estados Unidos logró el puesto número dos durante tres semanas, cubriendo el primer puesto de una canción cada semana: (Van McCoy con "The Hustle", The Eagles con "One Of These Nights", y los Bee Gees con su "Jive Talkin'").
